Background
A primary school in St Helens required additional space to meet growing student numbers. In partnership with Portakabin, PKB Civils was engaged to prepare the site for modular buildings. This involved installing 600mm x 600mm foundation pads to securely anchor the structures, ensuring a stable and safe solution. The project also included future planning, with provisions to decommission the foundations once the modular buildings are no longer needed.
Outcome
PKB Civils completed the foundation installation efficiently, providing a secure base for the modular buildings without disrupting school operations. The collaboration with Portakabin ensured the project was delivered seamlessly, meeting the school’s immediate capacity needs. With a plan in place for eventual decommissioning, PKB Civils will return to remove the foundation pads, ensuring a smooth transition and restoration of the site.
